Survival of the Fastest
You can learn more in one year than you did in the last decade. The world has moved fast. Technology has accelerated the passage of time itself, so much so that we can't keep up with it. Every few years we realise we've fallen behind. We aren't slow. The pace of technology is simply too much. We are always playing catch-up.
The AI race has made us feel inferior on a grand scale. We haven't had to think about survival in years. Now we do. We have to reassess everything, from the ground up, right from how we were educated to how we leveraged our academic degrees. Organisations are turning ruthless. The world is turning Darwinian. Survival of the fittest.
But this fear has another side. On one hand, you can be replaced instantly. On the other, you can replace somebody else. It's a dog-eat-dog world after all. It might sound like an episode straight out of The Walking Dead. In theory, it's something like that. Whoever wins, survives. Or one could say whoever survives this onslaught has won at life.
The same thing that can replace you instantly can also make you irreplaceable instantly. Speed has no bias. It can work in either direction. It serves any master who chooses to wield it. AI tools can train you in any subject of your choosing. You no longer need to sit through years of academia. The AI tool alone is enough to teach you everything. It can teach you like the best of teachers while remaining your humble servant, and in some cases, a confidant too.
Think about the topics you've always been curious about. Go to your AI tool. Spend that $20 and ask it to teach you from the basics. Ask it to generate material you can consume on the way. You can achieve far more in one year than you achieved in a decade. You can learn any subject in a couple of months. You don't have to become a master of the domain. You only need to know 80% of it. And that 80% is good enough against the lazy.
Follow your curiosity. Learn as much as you can, at your own pace, but faster than you've learned so far. In one year, you will notice a dramatic difference in your life. Literally any form of knowledge you want is at your fingertips. Leverage it. Be the person you're afraid would replace you. If you're worried about the predator, become one instead.
