Smallest Path To Progress

You must taste progress in your life. In anything. Even the smallest step forward will do. Pick a task, any task that helps you get ahead in life, and make a plan. Then follow that plan for at least two weeks. Track everything you do and measure how far you’ve come.

Once your brain notices even the tiniest sign of progress, it craves more. The easy explanation is dopamine release, but I believe it goes deeper. The brain is wired to seek the path of least resistance. When you first show discipline and stick to your plan, that plan becomes the new normal. Breaking it then feels unnatural.

This simple structure can transform your life. You don’t need to lose 20 kilos overnight. Just create a strength training routine and stick to it for two weeks. By the third week, your brain will begin to demand the same rhythm. Start writing about anything that interests you without worrying about feedback, stay with it for two weeks, and new ideas will flow naturally. Your awareness will heighten. Your mind will push you to keep going.

The antidote to procrastination is getting addicted to progress. The scale of progress doesn’t matter; what matters is breaking the status quo. That’s why measuring is essential. Pick a task today, plan for a month, and commit to at least two weeks. Ensure steady progression, measure it, and watch how momentum builds.
