Love Is Devotion
There are some relationships which appear as if they were designed by God himself. They appear romantic; their love keeps growing with time. They are least bound by worldly desires and instead focused on making each other happy by any means. Everybody wants such a relationship, but they don’t yet understand its essence.
A man is seen as a natural provider. Someone who takes care of things. Someone who doesn’t mind dealing with the harsh realities of the world so his family can remain safe and secure. A woman prefers a man she can depend on. Someone who is her rock. Someone she loves so much that she wants to have his babies.
That is the natural order of things—not who will do the dishes, not who will make the money and who will stay at home. These questions appear mundane when placed against the bigger questions. Ask a man: Would you take a bullet for your woman? Do you think you have married someone whom you want to protect from the harsh realities of life? Not because you have to, but because you want to.
Ask a woman if she sees her husband as her rock. Does she like him not merely as her husband, but as someone she looks up to? Is there a reverence in the relationship? Is there a devotion?
A man’s love language is caring. A woman’s love language is reverence. A woman in love looks crazy because she has devoted herself and her fate to that man. She is skeptical much of the time because men have let women down lately. A man is skeptical of taking care of women because it is hard to care about someone who wants to wipe out your existence from this world.
Every time you see a happy couple, look closely at the underlying emotion. She wants to mother his babies, cook meals for him, take care of his routine because she adores him; she looks up to him. That is her way of showing devotion to him. In return, a man ensures that her fantasies, her realities and her emotions are safeguarded from the outside world, so he does everything to protect the home she is building for them.
No matter what era you pick, no matter the country, no matter the culture, you will find these emotions in men and women who are successfully married and still deeply in love. They all lied to you by feeding you modern terminology, by corrupting your minds with these fancy “isms” and definitions.
Loving is devotion. Loving is caring. To love someone is to sacrifice your inner self for them. Respect is also a byproduct of love. If you love someone, you will never do anything to hurt them or their sensibilities. That is why they say love makes the world go round. It is a full circle of life. It is the only thing in life that matters.
