Don't Manifest; Reverse Engineer
Manifestation is pursued as the art of begging without feeling bad. It suggests that there is a benevolent universe that rewards you based on how strongly you delude yourself. It commands you to believe in an outcome with a fierce determination so you don’t have to worry about the quality of your efforts.
If manifestation could work, then it would make the universe appear even more random.
The universe is a vacuum. It is filled with stars, gases, meteors, planets, and the whole rigmarole. It isn’t equipped to deal with your petty demands for money and love. There is no underlying effort behind manifesting anything. That’s why it doesn’t feel logical. Even if you receive something through manifesting, it would only mean that the outcome was never in your control, making your act of accomplishment nothing but a stroke of luck.
Instead of deluding yourself about an outcome, one should reverse-engineer the process. The most common demand in manifestation is money. We are too shortsighted to connect all the dots to arrive at a place where money is in abundance. It’s better to start from the place of your ideal outcome.
If you want more money, you need to start from an ideal outcome that satisfies you. Then start asking questions like: What can get you there? What is required to follow these steps? What are the challenges in following these steps? Where can I begin? You need to start from the ideal outcome and narrow down to your current status. Lay out your path by being absolutely clear about what you need. As you gain more information, you can course-correct your path.
Loneliness can be cured the same way. Start from the ideal outcome and ask: What would make you attractive to women without losing your self-respect? What do you dislike about yourself without self-loathing? Where can you focus that can improve your life 10x with the current status quo? Creating a dating account, becoming an interesting person, gaining confidence in cold approaching women, and attending more social events are some things that will be easy.
The opposite of loneliness is having companions—friends or romantic partners. Where can one find them? How can you become someone they would love to be friends with? The opposite of poverty is having the ability to spot opportunities to make money.
Applying the concept of reverse engineering in every area of life will lay down the exact path for you toward happiness. Resilience in life is easy to cultivate when you have clarity about the path ahead. To gain clarity of the path, you need to make an effort in discovering the path. To be able to discover it, you need a starting point. And there is no greater starting point than your ideal outcome.
