Build for the sake of posterity
You owe it to your past and your future to build something that will outlast you—something that will survive beyond your existence, beyond your memories, and beyond your generation.
Sure, people may choose to call it the worst thing to survive, but the fact that it survived is enough.
From the time we are born, we tinker with the world we know and the universe we are born into.
From building toys with crayons to Lego sets to creating beautiful pieces of art, we discover joy in the process of building.
But why is it so important? Why can’t we stay in limbo—doing nothing, asking for nothing, and accomplishing nothing?
Being stagnant is death.
Consumption is death.
Doing nothing means disappearing into nothingness.
To create something out of nothing is the greatest joy of humankind.
Ask a writer who manifests a story with characters you resonate with, facing problems you also face.
He creates the story out of his imagination.
The Mona Lisa, before it became the most mysterious painting, was a blank canvas.
Da Vinci created it out of his imagination.
Building is the only way to save your soul from falling into the dark abyss of nothingness.
Resist the temptation of doing nothing, being nothing, and achieving nothing.
Building is materializing your desires.
When a thing that once existed only in your imagination comes into the physical realm, it changes you.
That’s why we love finishing our projects, building apps, achieving dreams, and ticking off long to-do lists.
All of these bring an underlying sense of accomplishment that comes from creating and achieving.
Building is desiring.
And when the desire to build, to act, to change the present vanishes, you fall into depression.
It’s no wonder that you sink into slumber without the purposeful action of building.
Building is the ultimate rebellion against the passing of time—your body may wither away, but your creation will live on.
Everyone should feel the rush of blood, the sleepless nights, the frustration, and, finally, the euphoria of building the thing they wanted.
You were not created to remain stagnant.
Keep building, even if it’s just a toy out of a crayon.
Do not let your mind slip into nothingness.
Rebel.
Build.
